That day was yet another public holiday in my part of Germany; the last one until October. I really needed a break from studying, and there is nothing better to clear one's head than walking. So, off we went on the walk we have done many times before and like so much.
The weather was perfect for walking; a mix of sun and clouds, dry and warm, but not too hot. I am quite sure I took a picture of my Mum in her cool new sunglasses (the frame of course matching her outfit perfectly), but I can't find it and have no idea what happened to it.
After the walk from Marbach to Steinheim and up to the allotment, I stayed there for a while. As always when we arrange for this walk, my Dad had prepared the table and made coffee for us, and we had the muffins my Mum had made in the morning.
Walk No. 2 took me to the woods again; more or less the same area that I showed you pictures of in April in this post.
The grassy path which is my favourite (see the post mentioned above for comparison) and hardly ever is really dry, not even in summer, had cracks and the grass was more yellow than green.
It was a good walk, just what I needed. On the Friday, I worked only in the morning and spent the afternoon studying again, and on the Sunday, I left for Ulm, as my previous post shows.
There will be one or two book reviews next, and then I hope to be getting back to posting about our Yorkshire holiday.
